The Cramps vs "psychobilly"

So, I was discussing The Cramps with a friend of mine, and she said that it was "only a matter of time" until I liked psychobilly since the Cramps were the godfathers of the genre. Not needing to see any jagoffs with pompadours and spiderweb tattoos playing upright bass, I explained that the Cramps were way closer to Beat Happening, in my mind, than Tiger Army.
